BR Engineering is a growing engineering and fabrication company specialising in high-quality metal fabrication and welding. We are looking for a motivated Junior Welder/Fabricator who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career within our business.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic welding or fabrication experience who wants to develop their skills in a busy engineering workshop. You will work alongside experienced fabricators, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to a wide variety of fabrication projects.
Full training and support will be provided to help you grow in the role.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of steel components
- Carry out MIG welding under supervision where required
- Learn to read and work from engineering drawings
- Measure, cut, grind and prepare materials
- Operate workshop tools and machinery safely
- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Support senior fabricators with day-to-day projects
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- A genuine interest in welding and fabrication
Desirable:
- Some MIG welding experience
- Experience using hand tools or power tools
- Engineering, fabrication or welding qualification (college or apprenticeship)
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
