The Role
As an Environmental Control Officer, you will play a vital role in:

Investigating complaints and breaches of environmental legislation, including noise, odour, and light pollution
- Conducting inspections and surveys to assess environmental conditions
- Providing advice and guidance to businesses and residents on compliance with environmental regulations
- Gathering evidence and preparing reports for enforcement action
- Collaborating with other agencies and organisations to address environmental issues
- You will work under the guidance of the Principal Environmental Health Officer and be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality public protection services.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Relevant experience in environmental enforcement or a similar role
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
- Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities
