We are looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in facilities and maintenance. No extensive experience is required, as we are committed to providing 12 months of structured, supported on-the-job training and development.
Working alongside experienced team members, you will gain practical skills in site maintenance, preventative machine maintenance, and general facilities upkeep, with the opportunity to develop into a skilled maintenance professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the site and facilities.
- Carry out routine inspections and identify maintenance issues.
- Support preventative maintenance programmes on machinery and equipment.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Maintain external site areas, including cleaning, tidying, and general upkeep.
- Ensure pathways, outdoor areas, and facilities are kept clean and safe.
- Assist with equipment checks and maintenance records.
- Support contractors and suppliers when required.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.
