About the Role
WealtFly Financial Technology UK Ltd is looking for an analytical, commercially aware and technology-focused FinTech Business Analyst to support the development and improvement of digital wealth-management, investment and financial-data solutions.
The successful candidate will work with product managers, software engineers, data specialists, investment professionals and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements, analyse existing processes and translate business needs into clear functional solutions.
The role will support projects involving investment platforms, portfolio analytics, financial reporting, client onboarding, data integrations and digital investment services. It is suitable for a business analyst with practical experience in financial services, fintech or technology delivery who is ready to take greater ownership of product and implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business and system requirements from internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct discovery meetings and requirements workshops
- Analyse existing financial and operational processes
- Identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for automation
- Document current-state and future-state workflows
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Prepare user stories and acceptance criteria
- Maintain requirement traceability throughout project delivery
- Support digital wealth-management and investment-platform projects
- Analyse portfolio-management and investment-reporting requirements
- Support projects involving financial data and analytics
- Work with product managers to define feature requirements
- Collaborate with developers on system functionality
- Clarify requirements during software-development cycles
- Review prototypes and proposed technical solutions
- Support design of client onboarding and account-management workflows
- Analyse requirements for investment dashboards and reporting tools
- Support integrations with financial-data providers and third-party systems
- Document API and system-integration requirements
- Assist with data mapping and transformation requirements
- Support data-migration planning and validation
- Review investment and client data for completeness
- Assist with testing new financial-platform functionality
- Develop test scenarios and user-acceptance criteria
- Coordinate user-acceptance testing activities
- Record defects and enhancement requests
- Track issues through to resolution
- Confirm that delivered functionality meets agreed requirements
- Support software implementation and release planning
- Prepare process guides and user documentation
- Assist with platform demonstrations and training
- Support client implementation and onboarding projects
- Gather feedback from users following new releases
- Analyse customer and platform usage patterns
- Support development of operational and management reports
- Define KPIs for digital financial services
- Collaborate with data analysts on reporting requirements
- Prepare project updates for managers and stakeholders
- Identify risks, dependencies and delivery constraints
- Support change-control and scope-management activities
- Participate in sprint planning and project-review meetings
- Coordinate communication between business and technical teams
- Support compliance and risk teams with system requirements
- Help ensure financial products follow internal control requirements
- Maintain organised project and requirements documentation
- Research fintech products, platforms and market developments
- Recommend practical improvements to systems and processes
- Manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business-analysis practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or professional qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related subject
- At least two years of experience in business analysis, financial services or technology delivery
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong understanding of process mapping and workflow analysis
- Ability to translate business needs into clear system requirements
- Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria
- Understanding of software-development and implementation lifecycles
- Experience supporting user-acceptance testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with numerical and financial information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence facilitating meetings and stakeholder discussions
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams
- Strong organisational and project-coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with project-management or collaboration tools

Pay: £38,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
