We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Children's and Young Person's Support Workers to join our team in the Middlesbrough area.
Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK resident, residing within the local area. We cannot offer visa sponsorship. It is important you have experience working with Young People.
You will need to apply:
- We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, Support Workers to help us support young people who are not able to live at home. If you have a passion for caring for others and confident in your abilities to deliver effective, high-quality care, this could be the role for you!
Duties:
- To ensure that the home environment is kept tidy, clean and safe for the young person
- Involvement in transporting them to school, college or appointments alongside building up their confidence and giving them consistency in support.
- Preparing and cooking meals and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.
- General support to the young person, and encouragement to maintain and keep a routine.
- Following care plan advice and referral guidance.
- Completion of daily notes.
About the role:
- Our children and young people often have experienced trauma and early years attachment difficulties.
- We need you to offer them understanding, through meaningful relationships aimed at keeping them safe and able to enjoy the world around them.
- We need people to listen to them and to take in to account their views, wishes and feelings.
- The role can be challenging and the ability to build up a rapport with the young person and an understanding of their circumstances.
