About the role:
We are seeking a contemporary painting and drawing academic who is passionate about fine art pedagogy and helping students learn through painterly practice. The candidate will have an inspiring profile of national and international exhibitions of their art or equivalent of pedagogical standing. Importantly, the role also involves liaising with external industry partners to deliver large group exhibitions of student’s artwork.
The role requires outstanding organisational skills and experience of working with large groups of students and an ability to deliver a motivational range of fine art practical workshops in painting and drawing. These workshops must inspire students by engaging them with hands on skills coupled with investigating critical contexts.
The role also requires experience of working with partner organisations for educational purposes and familiarity of leading group critiques and individual tutorials, seminar discussions, and some lectures, all in an engaging and positive manner. Your delivery will primarily be with second and third year students, with some input into first year.
