Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated local bricklayers and labourers within the Argyll and Bute area to the to join our dynamic construction team on the new An Suidhe substation. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse building projects, from residential to commercial developments. As a vital part of our crew, you will contribute to creating durable, high-quality structures while gaining valuable hands-on experience in masonry and related trades. Duties
- Bricklayers will have duties to install brickwork and blockwork to drawings which include setting out
- Labourers will assist skilled bricklayers with loading bricks, blocks to designated work area
- All operatives will prepare construction sites by mixing mortar, cleaning surfaces, and setting up work areas
- Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to ensure precise work
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of construction work
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in masonry and general construction
- 10 years plus knowledge of bricklaying techniques and masonry principles
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effective
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Attention to detail to ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards
All works will be inside which consist of internal blockwork
Trades must hold a valid CSCS card accreditation
