Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to join our team during our busy season. This role involves cleaning and preparing accommodation within our 4-star luxury hotel and self-catering woodland lodges, ensuring every room and lodge is presented to the highest possible standard for our guests.
This position is best suited to someone with previous professional housekeeping experience who understands the standards and pace required within a luxury hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be organised, have exceptional attention to detail, and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing hotel bedrooms, bathrooms, and self-catering woodland lodges
- Changing bed linen and replenishing towels and guest amenities
- Vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and mopping to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards
- Ensuring all rooms and lodges consistently meet our 4-star luxury presentation standards
- Restocking housekeeping supplies and reporting low stock levels
- Reporting maintenance issues, lost property, and damaged items promptly
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene procedures
- Supporting the housekeeping team with general cleaning duties across the property as required
- Assisting in other areas of the hotel when required to support operational needs
Requirements
- Previous professional housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is essential, preferably within a hotel, holiday park, or similar hospitality environment
- A proven ability to work to high standards with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible to work weekends and varying shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm
- A positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues when required
