This role is a 9-month contract with a local authority, offering a rate of £900 per day under an umbrella arrangement. The position involves providing strategic leadership and managing programs related to Dudley's significant regeneration, infrastructure, economic growth, and place-based projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a complex array of projects, ensuring that investments in transport and regeneration schemes translate into real economic, social, and community benefits.

Offer senior leadership for major regeneration, infrastructure, and place-based programs.

Develop and manage a comprehensive program aligned with the Council's strategic goals.

Identify and manage risks, dependencies, opportunities, and challenges within the program.

Establish and maintain strong governance, assurance, and reporting frameworks.

Create program dashboards, performance metrics, milestone plans, and risk registers.

Drive accountability and ensure the successful delivery of programs across various workstreams.

Remove implementation barriers and facilitate prompt decision-making.

Lead the successful execution of regeneration, transport, infrastructure, and town center improvement projects.

Maximize opportunities from major transport investments and public sector funding.

Ensure projects contribute to broader economic growth, place-making, and community outcomes.

Coordinate activities across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives and regeneration programs.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in leading major regeneration, infrastructure, economic development, or place-based programs.

Proven success in delivering complex, high-value projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Experience working within local government, combined authorities, or the broader public sector.

Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in one of the following areas:
