CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time
DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Finance
LOCATION: London Television Centre – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £140,000 - £170,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience, plus an on-target bonus of 50% depending on company performance. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Director of FP&A will lead the global financial planning and analysis agenda for BBC Studios, providing strategic insight, robust forecasting, and performance management across a dynamic international business. As a trusted partner to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team, the role will drive informed decision-making, optimise financial performance, support long-term value creation, and ensure a clear view of risks, opportunities, cash generation, and capital allocation across the organisation.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Lead the end-to-end financial planning cycle, including annual budgeting, strategic planning, reforecasting, and long-range financial outlooks.
Provide insightful analysis and strategic decision support to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and key stakeholders across BBC Studios.
Oversee performance reporting, delivering clear visibility of financial results, key business drivers, risks, opportunities, and operational KPIs.
Drive robust cash flow, balance sheet, working capital, and capital allocation planning to support sustainable growth and value creation.
Lead financial oversight of global corporate overheads, cost optimisation initiatives, and major transformation programmes.
Develop advanced financial models, scenario planning capabilities, and data-driven insights to support commercial and investment decisions.
Build and lead a high-performing global FP&A team, fostering financial excellence, continuous improvement, automation, and strong business partnering across the organisation.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Significant FP&A leadership experience within a large, complex, international business.
Experience operating in multi currency environments and understanding associated financial implications.
Demonstrated expertise in full financial statement forecasting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Strong experience managing cash, debt levels, and liquidity.
Advanced analytical and scenario planning capability.
Advanced financial modelling and data analytics capabilities including use of AI/BI tools.
Experience supporting executive leadership and board level decision making.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Experience in media and entertainment strongly preferred
Proven track record in cost transformation or operating model change programmes.
Experience implementing new FP&A and Reporting tools.
