We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager to join a project in Birmingham, with the position expected to run for approximately 6 months.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in remedial works and, importantly, facade projects. Specific facades experience is essential for this role.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will be responsible for supporting and/or managing the day-to-day delivery of facade and remedial works, ensuring the project is completed safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site operatives.
- Overseeing day-to-day facade and remedial works.
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Monitoring quality, progress and workmanship.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site.
- Coordinating materials, labour and site activities.
- Liaising with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Completing site records, inspections and relevant documentation.
- Identifying and resolving issues efficiently to keep works progressing.
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant regulations and project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager.
- Strong, demonstrable experience working on facade projects – essential.
- Experience within remedial works and refurbishment/construction projects.
- Good understanding of facade systems, remedial works and associated construction activities.
- Strong knowledge of site health & safety requirements.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant site qualifications, such as SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS, would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager with a genuine facade background to secure a six-month project in Birmingham.
