Overview.
PLEASE NOTE: You MUST be 18 or over to apply for this position.
There are 2 shifts available, early afternoon. With the possibility of more shifts in the future. Also, you must be available to cover holidays and sickness. Days and times to be discussed at interview. This position would ideally suit someone who has time on their hands with no other commitments. And needs a little extra income. They need to be reliable, trustworthy and willing to learn. Previous bar work is not essential, but it would be a GREAT advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage the bar inventory, including ordering supplies and restocking as necessary.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes.
- Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Effective time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential.
