Join Our Engineering Team
We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenance team based in Middlesbrough. We are seeking an enthusiastic and practical engineer with experience in maintaining, repairing, and improving industrial equipment and assets.

The Role
Working within our Engineering & Maintenance team, you will help ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of equipment across the AV Dawson site.
Key responsibilities include:
· Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities
· Performing reactive maintenance and repairs
· Fault finding and problem solving on a variety of equipment
· Conducting inspections and servicing activities
· Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
· Working safely and following company procedures
· Assisting with engineering projects and equipment upgrades
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of equipment and assets, including:
· Cranes and lifting equipment
· Overhead cranes
· Conveyors and material handling systems
· Fixed and mobile plant
· Locomotives
· Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Mechanical drives and rotating equipment
· Marine and port-related assets
About You
You will ideally have:
· Experience in an engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, marine, plant, ports, logistics, or industrial environment
· Strong practical problem-solving skills
· A proactive and safety-conscious approach
· The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Good communication skills
