Office Manager

Northern Tec Ltd is looking for a proactive and highly organised Office Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy electrical contracting business.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys keeping an office organised, communicating with customers and helping jobs run smoothly from initial enquiry through to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries
- Taking bookings and arranging appointments
- Managing the office diary and helping coordinate engineers’ schedules
- Creating, updating and organising job cards
- Ensuring job information is accurate and available to the team
- Carrying out general administrative and office duties
- Maintaining customer and project records
- Following up with customers, suppliers and members of the team
- Helping organise paperwork, photographs and certification
- Supporting the directors with the daily running of the office
- Learning and following Northern Tec’s internal processes
About you
The successful candidate will be:
- Proactive and able to identify what needs doing
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Friendly, professional and confident when speaking to customers
- Comfortable using computers, email and office software
- Willing and able to learn new systems and processes
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage several tasks at once
- Capable of working independently and using their own initiative
- A clear communicator who works well as part of a team
Previous office administration, scheduling or customer service experience would be beneficial. Experience within construction, electrical contracting or a similar trade-based business would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
