Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner / Labourer to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe and tidy working areas, as well as assisting with general labouring duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties across the workplace, including floors, surfaces, facilities and communal areas. Office, canteen etc.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean areas to a high standard.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Keep work areas, equipment and surrounding areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
- Assist with general labouring, moving materials and keeping the site tidy.
- Assist with machine cleaning. Oil based machines, power wash and sludge removal.
- Factory floor cleaning, regularly mopping and scrubbing oily areas to reduce hazard risk.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use cleaning products and equipment correctly and in line with company risk assessments.
- Report any damage, hazards, maintenance issues or shortages of cleaning supplies.
- Ad-hoc painting duties – factory floor markings, touching up walls which have deteriorated over time as examples
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by management as and when they arise.
Skills & Experience
- FLT license desirable but not essential.
- Previous cleaning, labouring or similar experience is desirable but not essential.
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 06:00–10:00, 20 hours per week, Permanent Position, 32 days Holidays per year, Including bank holidays.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time morning work in a practical, hands-on role.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
