Purpose:
To support the efficient distribution of frozen dessert products across London and surrounding areas by ensuring timely, safe, and compliant deliveries. The role is responsible for maintaining product quality throughout transit while upholding food safety, health & safety, and company standards. The Van Driver will be required to keep their assigned vehicle at their home address and report into the Logistics Support Manager - London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver frozen dessert products to customers in line with scheduled routes and delivery times.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring correct handling of temperature-sensitive products.
- Maintain the cold chain throughout deliveries, ensuring products remain at required temperatures.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organised, and in good working condition at all times.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and records.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes across London.
- Report delays, delivery issues, or customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all road traffic laws and company driving policies.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a delivery or driving role, in and around London.
- Good knowledge of London roads and routes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering food or temperature-controlled goods.
- Customer service experience.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
