Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers, including Senior Residential Support Workers specialising in children’s services. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children in residential settings, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. The successful candidate will work closely with young people, implementing care plans and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes positive growth and stability. Responsibilities
- Requirements:
- Must have valid work authorization (sponsorship is not available).
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at all times
- Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance
- Assist with daily routines including education, leisure activities, and personal hygiene
- Facilitate communication between children, families, and external professionals to support holistic development
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
- Monitor and record behavioural progress, incidents, and other relevant information accurately
- Promote a positive environment that encourages learning, independence, and social skills development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing review of care strategies
- Maintain a clean and organised living environment for the children in your care
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Must have valid work authorisation (sponsorship is not available).
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding policies
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts including evenings or weekends if required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and completing reports effectively

Pay: £24,420.00-£34,840.00 per year
