Overview of the Role:
As part of the Drawing Office Team, reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, create accurate manufacture drawings and models of machine parts, using specialist software packages.
CAD Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
CAD Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
· Generation of 3D models and assemblies for new and existing designs for machine parts
· Work with mesh and point clouds when generating 3D models
· Generation of 2D manufacture drawings for machine parts
· Generation of BOM and Specifications for our products
· Make engineering changes to existing designs
· Use of our in-house ERP system
· Liaise with other departments, providing technical support as and when required.
· Conduct own research to identify potential new products and seek development and improvement opportunities for our existing products
· Potential for overseas travel
On-the-job training will be provided.
Experience
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
· Minimum HND/HNC or foundation degree
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the use of 3D CAD software.

· Fully competent using 3D CAD Software and Product Data Management Software
· A solid understanding of technical documents.
- Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Enthusiasm to learn and an interest in problem solving.
· Self-motivated.
