We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Salon Assistant to join our team at Francesco Hair Salon on a casual, part-time basis.
This role would particularly suit a school leaver who is interested in a future career in hairdressing and may be considering progressing into an apprenticeship. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on salon experience, learn how a busy salon operates and find out whether a career in the industry is right for you.
Previous salon experience isn’t essential. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn, get involved and become part of the team. Suited to a school leaver who is looking to go into an apprenticeship in future.
Ideally, you’ll be:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with clients
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Happy working in a busy environment
- Proactive and willing to help wherever needed
- Able to work well as part of a team in a busy environment
- Have good phone and IT skills
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Flexible with availability when additional help is needed
The role will include welcoming and looking after clients, shampooing, assisting stylists, keeping the salon clean and presentable and helping with the general day-to-day running of the salon.
Hours will be offered on a casual, part-time basis depending on the needs of the salon, so some flexibility with availability would be helpful.
You’ll be joining a supportive, family-run salon with a busy client base and the opportunity to gain valuable experience as part of a nationally recognised, award-winning team.
