We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Clinical Team Leader – Specialist School Nursing within a term-time only role, located at Cedar House, within our St. Michael's Community Hospital site within the Specialist School Nursing team. The weekly hours for this role will be agreed at interview, and a term-time only agreement will be drafted for approval by the appointed candidate.
The post holder will develop robust induction packs for pre-registration nursing students and new starters with a clear plan for meeting set objectives and ensure this is delivered by each team locally. They will ensure that placements and support are for nursing learners are of a high standard in line with the NMC requirements.

To lead the Special School Nursing Team. Line management of Special School Nursing staff promoting good teamwork and providing teaching and support to other team members. Integrated within the clinical role they will plan, deliver and evaluate an innovative Special School Nursing service to an identified population. The special school nurse team lead will support children within Enfield’s special schools. They will be a key professional working alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT), to provide a full range of services for the individual child & family. To be an expert clinical children’s nurse to meet the needs of a diverse and challenging group of children and young people. To assess and review children and young adults who may require medical intervention or follow-up care or treatment and assist in the transition process to adult services. There will be recognised protected time to undertake the leadership role.
North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
