We are currently seeking experienced Hygiene – Site service / office cleaner to join us within one of the UK's leading family-owned fish businesses. We are the largest independent supplier of skin-packed, and bulk fish to large multiples, wholesalers and the food service sector.

Role Purpose:
To understand that the function he/she is involved with is ensuring that the factory ancillary areas are kept and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Also to ensure that all ancillary disposables are maintained at optimum levels.
To undertake cleaning of factory environmental areas and, maintaining stringent hygiene standards to ensure strict food safety standards are adhered to.
Working within a team structure, closely with the Production, Technical and Engineering departments, ensuring those standards are maintained and incorporating improvements where possible.
You are responsible for food safety, integrity, authenticity, legality and quality.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure correct PPE is always worn in accordance with COSHH regulations.
· To have a full understanding of the chemicals in use within the hygiene department and recognise their scope of use. Training will be given
· To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules and procedures throughout the factory combined with a full understanding of the equipment and environment to ensure high standards are maintained.
· To have a key attention to detail.
· To be fully familiar with the documentation needs of the department.
· To be fully familiar with the appropriate health and safety procedures.
· To have a good working relationship within the department and between departments to create a team attitude.
· To carry out scheduled hygiene work under supervision by the Hygiene Supervisor and completing the relevant documentation.
· To immediately report all potential hygiene and health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the Hygiene Supervisor/Manager.
· To report all accidents to the First Aider on site and the Hygiene Supervisor.
· To clock in and out at the start/end of shift respectively.
· Ensure all relevant paperwork is countersigned by the Hygiene Supervisor/Manager to ensure compliance with BRC and customer requirements.
· Maintain good site security in accordance with TRG014, specifically ensuring that the main entrance gate is closed behind you, report all suspicious incidents to Factory Management.
· Ensure compliance with, and promotion of, Company Food Hygiene and Environmental policies and ensure the Company operates in compliance with relevant legislation;
· Maintain and ensure that all GMP standards in accordance with TRG002 are adhered to the agreed level;
· Perform and complete any ad-hoc duties within your remit as and when requested.
