We are looking for caring, reliable individuals with excellent communication and organisation skills, calm and friendly personalities, a good sense of humour, and focussed interest in health.
We will require to see your current DBS (enhanced DBS, ideally), your passport and visa, at interview.
Previous clinical experience, or studies in any biomedical sciences, will put you at a distinct advantage, although they're not essential.
Tasks: our Healthcare PAs routinely check, order and organise medical supplies, maintain hygiene and, on every shift, will also provide companionship, personal grooming support and all manner of routine housework - not only healthcare.
After some in-house shadowing, you will be trained in how to deliver home-based infusions of medication. Specialist training in delivering these infusions will be provided at NHS St Helier Hospital on three separate dates, with certification available.
All your in-house training and shadowing is on full pay. Other relevant training, for example in first aid, is made available off-site free of charge from time to time.
We're very flexible. We willingly arrange our short shifts to fit in with your own timetable / your other job. Shifts are typically around 2hrs, but shorter shifts are available when wanted. Shifts often start at 7 or 8am, but they can be in afternoons or, if it suits you best, evenings; we also have one 6:30am start per month for any one of our PAs.
Driving: applicants with their own car and a current driving license are at a distinct advantage: we might book you a few longer shifts for fun outings sometimes.
BCaring is a friendly, well managed little care team, run for the wellbeing of one remarkable woman by her family, at her private house. She is fun and clever, in her mid-40s, professionally employed, and has challenging medical and developmental conditions (currently stable).
BCaring is publicly funded and is not an agency or a care home. For reasons of confidentiality, BCaring does not host a website, but you can search "BCaring Team Manager" on LinkedIn for background on our Team Lead and for some recommendations written by our former healthcare PA's.
BCaring is a diverse team. We expect you to accept and embrace diversity in all its very many forms.
Not every care job is the same! BCaring: it’s a little success story. Do join us.
