Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation
- Clear tables promptly and assist with the organisation of dining areas to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving issues swiftly to ensure positive experiences
- Assist in setting up tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the service area
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
- Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and transactions accurately
- Experience with guest services, upselling, and providing memorable dining experiences is desirable
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
