Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Sales & Order Coordinator to join our team. This role sits at the centre of our day-to-day operations, managing customer orders from initial enquiry through to dispatch and delivery.
It would suit someone who takes pride in getting things right first time, keeps on top of their workload, and follows things through without needing to be chased.
This role is primarily office-based but will involve supporting warehouse operations when required.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- This is a start time for being ready to work, not arrival, so you will be expected to be on site beforehand to open and prepare for the day
- The role requires a flexible approach, and there will be times where staying beyond standard hours is necessary to ensure orders and customer commitments are completed
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Processing & Customer Communication
- Monitor and manage the company sales inbox, ensuring all enquiries and orders are handled promptly and professionally
- Accurately process customer orders using Sage 200, checking product specifications such as size, type and finish
- Communicate with customers, sales representatives and internal teams to confirm order details and resolve any discrepancies
- Track orders and provide clear updates on lead times and deliveries
- Maintain accurate and well-organised order records for traceability and reference
Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
- Book and manage deliveries using Palletforce, DPD or similar systems
- Coordinate dispatch across multiple depot locations
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure orders are prepared and shipped correctly
- Liaise with couriers to resolve delivery issues and ensure goods arrive as expected
- Assist in managing backorders, substitutions and delivery challenges with minimal disruption
Operational & Warehouse Support (When Required)
- Provide hands-on support in the warehouse during busy periods, including picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Assist with preparing parcels and pallet shipments using DPD and Palletforce systems
- Support goods in and goods out processes to maintain smooth operations
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain a good understanding of warehouse processes to support clear communication between office and operations
- Take a practical, team-focused approach to helping where needed, maintaining consistent standards
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in order processing, sales support, or a similar coordination role
- Good working knowledge of Sage 200 and transport systems (DPD, Palletforce or similar preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Confident communicator, able to work with customers, sales teams and warehouse staff
- Well organised and able to manage multiple orders and priorities at once
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to read and interpret order details, product specifications and purchase orders
- A practical, hands-on mindset with a willingness to support operations when required
- Driving licence preferred (occasional travel to other sites may be required)
