Oversee and coordinate all site transport activities, ensuring vehicles, deliveries, and schedules run smoothly, efficiently, and safely
Maintain effective communication with internal teams, third-party hauliers, and suppliers to facilitate timely, accurate dispatch and receipt of goods
Proactively resolve daily transport and operational challenges, identifying improvements and implementing solutions to enhance performance
Supervise and support site-based team members, promoting high standards and a culture of collaboration, safety, and wellbeing
Monitor and analyse delivery metrics, site performance, and compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards
Assist with resource planning, including staff rotas and vehicle allocation, to meet fluctuating operational demands
Ensure accurate completion, maintenance, and reporting of key operational records and documentation
Support a safe and legally compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation
Supporting the Cross Dock operations, operating plans, fleet, equipment and resourcing levels meet demand
Help to Manage driver hours in line with working time legislation
Help to Organise service and maintenance of MHE and vehicles in line with legal requirements
Demonstrable experience in site-based transport, operations, or logistics coordination, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment
Strong people skills; able to lead, motivate, and develop teams with empathy and fairness
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities; proactive under pressure and adaptable to changing demands
Confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with internal and external partners
Comfortable interpreting performance data to drive continuous improvement and operational success
Adaptable and flexible in approach, comfortable supporting various site operations as needs change
Keen awareness of Health & Safety, with a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace
Excellent attention to detail, taking pride in ensuring site presentation and operational standards are upheld
