Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the company email inbox, ensuring all customer queries are responded to within 48 hours.
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with enquiries, orders, refunds, exchanges, and holding deposits.
- Set up and maintain customer accounts accurately within company systems.
- Process customer orders, quotations, and sales enquiries efficiently.
- Follow up on customer leads, enquiries, quotations, and outstanding requests.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise sales revenue.
- Ensure stock quantities are accurate to provide maximum product availability for customers.
- Liaise with the warehouse and other departments to resolve customer and order-related issues.
- Book international orders through courier comparison platforms, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate customer, sales, and order records.
- Keep up to date with product knowledge and industry developments, liaising regularly with management.
- Analyse sales data and identify best-selling products, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
- Assist with sales promotions.
- Identify slow-moving stock and recommend promotions, discounts, or clearance activities where appropriate.
- Support the sales team in achieving company sales targets and objectives.
- Produce sales and customer activity reports as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales, customer service, sales administration, or sales support role is preferred.
- Strong communication, telephone manner and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and time-management abilities.
- Confidence when speaking with customers and identifying sales opportunities.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and customer information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer issues professionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Birmingham B42 2ET: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
