Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers safely and efficiently on construction sites or industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to handle various lifting tasks with precision. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to our projects while ensuring safety and productivity.
Duties
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately across the work site
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and placement
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate tasks effectively
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support other machinery operations such as excavators when required
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operating telehandlers in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Experience with excavators is desirable but not essential
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving purposes
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures related to machinery operation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
