Overview
Shalam Thermoforming UK Ltd are looking to recruit a Setter to join the team based at our Sunderland site. Reporting in to the Production Manager, the role works across production ensuring the installation and set-up of thermoforming tooling is maintained to the Company's quality standards and KPI's.
The role follows a 3-shift rotation pattern, working 40 hours per week - 6am -2pm , 2pm-10pm and 10pm - 6am.
Duties
- Installation and set-up of thermoforming tooling on a variety of machinery
- Optimise settings and maintain production plan, ensuring quality of finished product whilst keeping the production area clean and tidy
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed and housekeeping and hygiene are maintained to a high standard
- Trouble shooting activities to ensure KPI targets are achieved and product quality is consistent with set standards
- Set the standard via first off product sign off
Qualifications
- Good standard of education
- Engineering qualifications would be desirable
Experience
- 3 years experience in a similar role within thermoforming working on Illig, TFT, GN and Gabler machinery. Gabler and GN experience would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of APET and PP materials
Additional desirable experience
- Multi-skilling engineering manufacturing background
- Knowledge of robotic ancillary machinery
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques (SMED, TPM etc.)
