We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chef de Partie/Grill Chef for our busy fresh food restaurant, with a chance to progress as the company expands. Evenings and weekend work will be required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner, with a focus on fresh ingredients.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensure all food preparation areas under your control are maintained in a clean & tidy condition, in accordance with the cleaning schedule and complying with all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Deliveries and Storage: Receive deliveries and ensure that food storage areas are maintained in accordance with the company’s Hygiene, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Kitchen Management: Adhere to kitchen management procedures: temperature records, food samples, and production plans.
- Stock Taking: Assist with stock taking when required.
- Team Assistance: Provide assistance in the absence of other Section Chefs as instructed by the Head Chef or his Deputy.
- Training: Undertake further training when required.
- Other Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties required by the Head Chef.
- Team Player: Assist other team members when necessary.
Attainments:
- Evidence of studying GCSE’s or above.
- Achieved Level 1/2 NVQ in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Level 1 Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or above
