St Matthews Healthcare is looking for an experienced Registered Clinical Psychologist to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

The Role:
- Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions.
- Manage a complex inpatient caseload within a rehabilitation setting.
- Deliver individual, group and family therapies using approaches including CBT, trauma-informed practice and systemic therapies.
- Provide expert psychological consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise Assistant Psychologists, trainee psychologists and other clinical staff.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits and service development.
- Deliver training to staff and contribute to a psychologically informed culture.
- Work collaboratively with families, commissioners and external healthcare professionals to support recovery-focused care.
Essential
- Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology (or equivalent accredited qualification).
- Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Significant post-qualification experience working with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
- Experience within inpatient or rehabilitation mental health services.
- Excellent communication, leadership and report-writing skills.
- Experience supervising junior psychologists or multidisciplinary staff.
Desirable
- Training in specialist therapies such as CBT for Psychosis, EMDR, DBT or Systemic Family Therapy.
- Experience working with Autism, ADHD or Acquired Brain Injury.
- Experience leading audits, service evaluations or research.
- Experience delivering teaching and training.
- Knowledge of NHS commissioning pathways.
