About the role:
- Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to patients’ individual dietary needs
- Cook and serve healthy meals for staff, patients’ families, and visitors in our on-site café
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Oversee the safe use of kitchen equipment in line with hygiene standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and ensure proper waste disposal
- Support our hospitality training programme by preparing food for courses
- Provide guidance and support to catering assistants and volunteers
- Manage stock levels and coordinate food orders with suppliers
- Deliver a professional, caring, and efficient service at all times
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a friendly, positive, and reliable approach
- Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Is organised, self-motivated, and able to manage their time effectively
- Can work confidently within health and safety guidelines
- Holds a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and Allergen training
- Is willing to learn, or already has knowledge of, IDDSI frameworks for dysphagia
