Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Landscape Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various aspects of landscape maintenance and construction projects, ensuring outdoor spaces are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, grass cutting, and weed control
- Driving mini diggers/dumpers
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment including excavators and irrigation systems
- Preparing sites for planting or construction by clearing debris, digging trenches, and levelling ground
- Supporting the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and other outdoor utilities
- Performing general maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and tools are in good working order
- Assisting with landscaping projects from start to finish, including soil preparation, planting, and finishing touches
- Ensuring safety procedures are adhered to during all activities and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A valid PERSON (if applicable) or relevant construction or horticultural qualifications are a plus
- A positive attitude towards outdoor work and a willingness to learn new skills
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
