Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area to uphold food safety standards
- Support the team with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service through serving and meal presentation
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages or issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations within a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, especially in serving guests effectively
- Prior experience in restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
