Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients before, during, and after treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental surgery, including sterilisation of equipment.
- Offer guidance to patients regarding oral health care and post-treatment instructions.
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, managing patient correspondence, and updating records.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures, to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably in dentistry or nursing.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate electronic patient records and handling administrative duties.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
