Main Purpose of the Role
Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, the main purpose of the Site Installation Engineer is to install, commission, service and maintain Haith machinery in line with customer requirements, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver installation, service and maintenance activities on customer sites and in the yard
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs, including replacement of components where required
- Fault find, test and service Haith and third-party electro-mechanical equipment
- Attend customer sites on time and comply with site induction and safety requirements
- Complete all service, maintenance and installation work to agreed timescales and quality standards
- Provide accurate and timely service reports and job documentation
- Liaise closely with the Service Coordinator to ensure efficient scheduling and completion of work
- Communicate professionally with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with Technical, Production and Engineering teams
- Accurately complete timesheets, job reports and other required documentation
- Manage van stock levels to ensure materials and parts are available to complete assigned work
- Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, well maintained and road-legal at all times
- Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and legal requirements
Person Specification
Qualifications and Background
Essential
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- Relevant engineering qualification or demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems
- Awareness of safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements
Desirable
- Electrical certification
- Experience within food processing or food transfer systems
- Experience with access control systems
- EITB qualification
- Fitting, assembly or bench fitting qualifications / experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
- Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, CSCS, or similar)

- Able to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team
