Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal has an opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager with a to join our team on the Acute Ward.
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.

Work as a Deputy Ward Manager, ensuring a safe, therapeutic and inclusive environment for patients, families and staff while maintaining compliance with national, statutory and organisational policies. Assess and manage risks, ensure safe staffing and appropriate skill mix, and supervise and support nursing staff and students through clinical supervision, training, development and performance management. Provide person-centred care and therapeutic interventions for patients with mental health and/or learning disability needs, promote effective multidisciplinary working, and support collaborative problem-solving and risk management. Act as a named nurse, regular shift leader and clinical supervisor, undertake ward lead responsibilities, deputise for the Ward Manager when required, and contribute to staff recruitment and retention.

Essential for the role
- Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of Revalidation
- At least 18 Months – 2 years’ experience post-registration Demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality
