We are looking for a 7.5 Tonne driver to join our business completing a route out of our Weybridge depot into the Colnbrook and Slough area. We operate within the new ly established UPS building and are looking for someone to handle the same route day in and day out within 1 specific postcode.
The load comes pre-loaded with the same stops everyday and youll be collecting from the same stops offering the best route a driver could ask for.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and functionality
- Plan routes and navigate through traffic to meet delivery schedules
- Communicate with customers and clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a van driver or in commercial driving preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the job
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong navigational skills and the ability to use GPS systems effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
