The SWLEOC Scheduling Team co-ordinates approximately 600+ surgeries per month, fully utilising six theatres per day, six days a week. The scheduling team have to manage 55 consultants schedules across the partnership and aim to achieve nearly 6000 surgeries per year.
The 2 successful candidates will be adaptable, dependable, resilient, organised, and possess strong communication skills. Candidates will be required to liaise with the administration hub, nursing teams, senior management, consultants, and other administration staff within our partnership hospitals. Effectively prioritising workloads.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress their careers within the NHS and build strong professional networks across GESH and our partner trusts. They will also develop their knowledge of medical terminology and gain a deeper understanding of surgical procedures and perioperative care.

Main duties of the job

- Liaise with consultants, pre assessment nurses, anaesthetists and theatre staff

- Update all IT systems
- Action emails / voicemails in a timely manner
- Report to management any findings or issues
