Bainton Stop is a busy, independent coffee shop. We serve food from our newly released menu along with mother watering cakes, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and of course freshly made coffee. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service in a friendly and welcoming environment.
We are looking for a Coffee Shop Supervisor with hospitality & barista experience to help oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our front of house and liaising with the kitchen.

Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and support coffee shop staff during daily service
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist with staff training and onboarding of new team members
- Coordinate front-of-house duties, including seating, table service, clearing, and customer queries
- Ensure food and drinks are served efficiently and presented to a high standard
- Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cashing up when required
- Monitor cleanliness of the café, toilets, and customer areas
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, EHO, allergens, health & safety, and company procedures
- Help manage stock levels, replenish supplies, and communicate ordering requirements
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service throughout the day
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Manager social media
- Manage staff holidays and arrange cover accordingly.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a coffee shop or, or hospitality environment
- Confident supervising or leading a small team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Barista trained/experienced
Desirable
- Experience with till systems and cash handling
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience working in a busy coffee shop or hospitality environment
- Includes weekdays and weekend work
- Additional hours may be available during holidays and seasonal busy periods
