The successful applicant will gain exposure to senior recruitment assignments, international market research and conversations with highly accomplished professionals.
This is not a routine administrative apprenticeship within a high-volume recruitment agency. You will learn how a specialist search business builds trusted relationships, understands complex markets and identifies exceptional people for high-quality clients.
No previous recruitment experience is required. We are looking for intelligence, attitude, communication skills and the determination to build a successful career.
The opportunity
You will begin as a Recruitment Coordinator, learning every part of our business while supporting senior recruitment assignments.
For the right person, there will be a clear progression route from Recruitment Coordinator to Resourcer and, ultimately, Recruitment Consultant—with increasing responsibility, earning potential and performance-related bonuses.
What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and improving our candidate and client database
Researching companies, markets and potential candidates
Identifying talented professionals using LinkedIn and other platforms
Coordinating interviews, calls, diaries and follow-up activity
Communicating professionally with candidates and clients
Preparing candidate profiles, job advertisements and recruitment documents
Supporting LinkedIn, marketing and business-development activity
Tracking recruitment processes and ensuring actions are completed
Learning how to approach, engage and build relationships with candidates
Progressively taking ownership of candidate sourcing and recruitment assignments
Training and qualification
Alongside the role, you will complete the government-supported *Level 2/3 Recruiter Apprenticeship* through an approved training provider.
You will receive protected study and training time during your normal working hours, expected to be approximately one day each week. The programme typically lasts around 18 months and covers candidate sourcing, communication, relationship management, recruitment processes, compliance and commercial recruitment.
The remainder of your working week will be spent applying your learning within Archer International Search, with direct training and mentoring from the Managing Director.

You must have:
Excellent written and spoken English
A strong standard of Maths and confidence working with figures
Excellent GCSE results, particularly in English and Maths
Strong A-level results, equivalent qualifications or a good degree
Clear, confident and professional communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Confidence using technology, databases and social media
The maturity and self-discipline to work successfully from home
Curiosity, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn
Reliability and the ability to handle confidential information
The confidence to speak to people by telephone—not only by email or message
A home base in or around Tunbridge Wells or Milton Keynes
