Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and disabilities. Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to children with autism, disabilities, or special educational needs to facilitate their learning and social integration.
- Assist teachers in implementing individualised education programmes (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
- Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and specialised therapy sessions as required.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages confidence, independence, and positive social interactions among children.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists to monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Assist with toddler care activities where applicable, ensuring safety and engagement during play and learning sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behavioural observations in accordance with organisational policies.
- Promote effective communication between children and staff through clear, empathetic interaction.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioural management techniques.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver teaching support in inclusive educational settings.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in child development and supporting diverse learners.
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities within a dynamic environment.

Pay: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
