Join our dynamic team as a Small Tools Maintenance Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the efficiency and safety of our Small Tools Hire operation.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of small tools and equipment in preparation for hire / return from hire. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, optimize tool performance, and support seamless manufacturing processes. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance on various small tools and hand-held equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues with tools and execute timely repairs or replacements to reduce operational delays.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records for all tools serviced or repaired.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond swiftly to tool malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Assist in the calibration and setup of specialized tools to meet quality standards and safety regulations.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to promote a safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting upgrades or modifications to enhance tool reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in small tools maintenance, repair, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and pneumatic devices commonly used in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively.
- An eye for detail and excellent workplace organisation.
- Good organizational skills for maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant certifications such as Mechanical Technician certification or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
