We are a family run End of Life Vehicle Centre and supplier of used car parts and have been servicing Liverpool and the North West for almost 40 years. We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Ecommerce team.
At Merton Car Dismantlers we provide a fast and friendly service our customers and provide excellent quality used car parts for their vehicle at a very competitive price. We sell a wide variety of stock through online selling platforms and have our own Ebay Store.
We also provide a free scrap car collection service to the people of Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Based on one of the main roads into Liverpool and the Docks, our motor recycling and dismantling scrap yard is well located on Hawthorne Road, Bootle.
The role –
This is an ideal opportunity for someone that has experience in the use of online selling platforms and stock management software. A keen interest in the automotive industry or a general passion for cars.
The ideal candidate will:
· ideally previous experience working in a car environment (required min 2 years)
· Be confident in the use of computer software, stock management software and be familiar with online selling platforms Ebay, Facebook marketplace
· Display a good understanding of vehicle manufacturers, makes models and components
· Be inquisitive and keen to develop their knowledge of cars, models, part compatibility across various manufacturers and the 'families' that car parts belong to or share
· Have a good eye for detail and understand the need for quality work to generate online sales
· Be well organised and demonstrate good memory skills
· Have excellent time management skills, punctual and strong attendance record
· Be a clear communicator with good listening skills
· Be trustworthy, reliable and self-motivated
· Be friendly with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and ‘can-do’ attitude to work
· English and Maths GCSE
The role will involve:
· Adding new stock correctly to our stock management system
Creating selling ads using accurate descriptions and good imaging
Photographing stock to a high standard for selling on online platforms
Scanning stock away to correct locations
Pricing stock through product research using other online platforms
Updating stock/returns on our stock management system
· Demonstrate organisational skills by ensuring stock is accurately labelled and adhere to the stock management system at all times
· You will be responsible to maintain high levels of order and cleanliness in your own work area and adhere to the wearing of the required PPE at all times
· Report any Health and Safety issues to senior management team or supervisors
· Actively take part in compulsory training and display willingness to engage in company projects and initiatives
· offer support in a different work area should you be required
· Partly working outdoors in all weather is required
Immediate start
Job Types: Part time with a view to become full time
hourly rate: 12.21
Hours: 24-40 hours per week
Schedule:
- Day shift 08.30-17.00 (30 min lunch)
- Days to be agreed
- Saturdays overtime available

- Experience Forklift truck driving: desirable
