Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our dynamic team at our wedding venue. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing friendly assistance to guests. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills. The position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant atmosphere while honing your customer service and culinary knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently with attention to detail
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and upselling menu items where appropriate
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas throughout shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining proper recordkeeping
- Assist in food preparation or setup as required, adhering to food safety standards
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the venue
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Familiarity with serving techniques, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to create a welcoming environment for guests
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of service
