Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and team management. A live-in accommodation option is available for the right candidate, providing a unique chance to immerse yourself fully in our hospitality environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from preparation to plating, ensuring consistency and excellence
- Manage food safety protocols in line with industry regulations and best practices
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and optimise resources
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain compliance with all relevant hospitality legislation and policies
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff
- Demonstrable experience in kitchen management, including stock control and menu planning
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality venue is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Leadership qualities combined with a passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Pay: £32,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
