** Background
The post of Senior Course Officer sits within the postgraduate and professional programmes team of the City Law School. The purpose of this role is to assist the Course Operations Manager with managing the Course Office team, and to lead on key projects and events throughout the academic year.
** Responsibilities
Staff leadership and supervision (e.g. manage the Course Office team for PG and Professional Programmes);
Management of student feedback processes (e.g. module evaluation and course representative meetings);
Coordination and supervision of key events / projects (e.g. working with the Heads of Department re teaching responsibilities and associated activities);
Coordination across programmes and schools to supervise significant periods throughout the academic year (e.g. induction, timetabling, staffing, resourcing);
Student / Faculty Support (e.g. providing advice and support to students and academic staff, committee membership and reporting).
** Person Specification
The successful candidate will hold a first degree or equivalent experience; they will have e xperience of working in higher education in course/programme administration, alongside line management e xperience and working in a busy customer focussed office environment.
They will have well-developed verbal and written communication skills, be confident in the use of IT systems, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
