Wasing is one of the UK's most diverse rural estates, combining internationally recognised weddings and events, music festivals, regenerative farming, commercial property, hospitality, retreats and a thriving marina business.
We are now looking for a Marina Coordinator to join our Marina team. This is a key front facing role, acting as the first point of contact for visitors and moorers, ensuring every interaction with Wasing is professional, welcoming and efficient.
PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES:
- A varied job supporting the Marina Manager dealing with the marina operation, shop retail sales, dry dock and brokerage by carrying out administrative and reception duties. To maintain work recording and stock recording, ordering and re-ordering as required to maintain the efficient operation of the business.
- To be the first point of contact, dealing politely and efficiently with phone calls, customers, visitors, and requests for information. Be responsible for ensuring the administrative requirements of the marina are completed accurately and to the time scales required.
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administration
- Deal with general administration as deemed by the Marina Manager
- Liaising with customers related to joining, leaving or being added to waiting list at the marina
- Cash up and balance shop income as required.
- Deal with mooring licences including checking they have up-to-date insurance and boat safety records
- Work on estate’s accounting system dealing with customer payments and queries
- Owning both Marina and Dry Dock calendar’s making sure they are updated
- Raising sales invoices
- Digitising old paperwork
- Logging diesel sales for regulatory purposes
- Helping with debt chasing
- Help with boat sale administration and eventually show rounds
- Organising the annual events
- Providing information to Estate Office when necessary.
2. Retail
- Be front of house for the Office/Shop
- Selling both food/drink & boat-related items within the shop
- Re-order stock and help with stock takes
- Performing weekly checks
EXPERINCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Worked in an administration role
- Strong IT capability, including MS Office.
- Experience in narrowboat marinas is advantageous.
- Have valid UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle

Pay - £27k-£30k depending on experience
Hours – 40 Hours per week - (weekend work roughly 32 hours a month)
