Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waiting Staff to join the vibrant team at our bustling café and bar located in the heart of the city. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly, efficient service in a lively environment. Your role will involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems or manual methods
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their visit and addressing any special requests or concerns
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues efficiently
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a strong focus on guest services
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food safety standards, and basic food preparation practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
- Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is a plus for understanding menu items and preparation times
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue potential
