Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Member to work on Plymouth Barbican in our Pizza and Jacket potato Trailer. The ideal deal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and possess a keen interest in food preparation and culinary arts. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while working in a fast-paced, friendly setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering food promptly.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage multiple responsibilities such as taking orders, processing payments, and upselling menu items to enhance customer experience.
- Organise work stations to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quick turnaround times.
- Support the team during busy periods by providing excellent service and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas, dining spaces, and equipment throughout shifts.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as required.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately and managing stock levels.
- Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles is desirable.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximise sales opportunities.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
