Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring a smooth operational flow. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and properly stored after use
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support with organising stock supplies and monitoring inventory levels
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently
- Assist in setting up workstations for service periods and cleaning down after service concludes
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and culinary practices is desirable
- Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
